The Role

We are looking to recruit a Senior Paraplanner to provide full back office and administrative support to our IFAs to help take the business forward during an exciting period of growth. Based at our Head Office in Watford, you will be an integral part of our team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Directors in their ability to design and deliver bespoke financial solutions for clients
  • Interpret data obtained by IFAs during client meetings to create documentation to support recommendations
  • Analyse data and using research tools, provide solutions to meet client needs and objectives
  • To be responsible for detailed suitability report writing, product recommendations and dealing with renewals and annual portfolios
  • Work closely with IFAs to ensure that appropriate data is analysed to provide solutions, recording details of research undertaken and preparing and maintaining client files ready for review on an on-going basis
  • Support the Directors in developing long-term relationships with clients by proactively improving client service levels
  • Take a proactive approach to improving internal systems and processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure that accurate records are created and maintained on the back office system for both new and existing policies
  • Carry out all tasks in a manner consistent with compliance procedures. Administrative support to the IFA’s on a daily basis, including corresponding with insurance providers;; creating client files; and any other tasks, as required by the business

 

Skills & Experience

  • DipPFS or DipFA qualified
  • Proven track record of supporting Advisers in the research and preparation of suitability reports
  • Proven ability to build long-term client relationships
  • Experience of proactively improving internal systems and processes
  • Technical knowledge and expertise relating to financial products and services, processes, procedures and regulations in a financial planning environment including investments, pensions, protection and tax-planning
  • Knowledge of software websites, such as IRESS fka Exchange and Avelo; and Wrap platforms, such as TRANSACT
  • Knowledge of compliance issues
  • Able to work within defined business processes and achieve the agreed outcomes without supervision and often to short deadlines
  • Prioritise and plan own workload with the ability to multi-task and work on more than one project at a time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidently able to communicate with clients
  • Highly IT literate with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Able to produce detailed reports written in English to a high standard with overall detail and accuracy
